CashCon 2021

Premiere at the digital CashCon 2021: INSYS locks presents one-time code solution virtually

Cash and virtuality – what seems contradictory at first glance was brought together by INSYS locks at the first digital CashCon. For the first time, the company presented its solution for secure and efficient cooperation with cash-in-transit companies live on the internet to experts and interested parties.

When we pay cash, we exchange banknotes and coins for goods, and we are usually dealing with other people. With that in mind it is somewhat ironic that this year’s CashCon, the trade fair for cash management, had to take place virtually.

Nevertheless: Despite the pandemic, around 20 speakers and 30 companies took part in the online conference on 27th and 28th January to exchange views on the current change. The expert presentations revolved around new ideas for cash supply and disposal. Experts from retail, banks, service providers and industry highlighted requirements and solutions in line with the motto “Cash at the pulse of time”.

INSYS locks presented its renowned one-time code solution for secure access to secure storage units at the trade fair. This is made possible by two components: the fully automatic high-security lock EloStar® Master and the ALVARA Logistic App. The latter logs cash movements from pick-up to arrival in real time.

Detlef Lücke, head of the business unit, and a colleague demonstrated in a live session exactly how the two components interact. In the company’s own studio, a one-time code was created with the help of which the EloStar® Master safe lock could be opened. A process that facilitates cash management in cooperation with cash-in-transit companies, especially in the retail sector.

About 40 viewers followed the demonstration live on the net. At the same time, the trade fair participants had the opportunity to inform themselves about INSYS locks at the virtual trade fair stand and to make contact via a chat.

Detlef Lücke generally draws a positive conclusion to CashCon 2021. “However, virtual exchange cannot replace personal discussions at a trade fair,” says Lücke and is therefore already looking forward to the next CashCon, which will hopefully take place again not virtually but physically.
