A revised packaging concept will soon be used for storing and shipping our products. The new solution is significantly more compact than before and can be disposed of entirely via paper recycling. This eases the burden on storage and logistics, simplifies disposal for our customers and contributes to climate protection.
The new packaging is around 40 per cent smaller than the previous version yet still offers the same level of stability. This enables more efficient use of storage space and allows more systems to be picked per pallet.
Another key advantage is that the packaging is made entirely of paper and contains no foam materials. It is 100 per cent recyclable through the paper waste stream, helping to reduce CO₂ emissions by around 1.5 tonnes per year.
Future product variants can also be easily accommodated. The packaging can be adapted to new requirements, such as different keyboard shapes, without incurring additional tooling costs.
This concept has resulted in a space-saving, resource-efficient and sustainable solution that, as with all INSYS locks solutions, puts the needs of our customers at the forefront.
