Thomas von Polheim Joins INSYS locks
as International Sales Manager

Our team continues to grow: we are delighted to welcome Thomas von Polheim as a new colleague to the INSYS locks team. Recently, he joined us as International Sales Manager, bringing many years of experience in international sales within the high-security industry.

With this article, we would like to introduce Thomas von Polheim in more detail: his professional journey, his strong connection to the industry, and the milestones that have led him to us.

Born in Wuppertal, Germany, Thomas spent his childhood and youth there. His daily journey to school on the famous Wuppertale Suspension Railway is just as much a part of those memories as his sporting passion in a local water polo club.

In the mid-1980s, he moved to Velbert. After graduating from a higher commercial school and completing training as a freight forwarding clerk, his career path led him into the lock and fittings industry, which is well known far beyond national borders. This decision has shaped his career to this day. After completing his military service, he began working in commercial sales, both internally and in the field, with a focus on export, at a manufacturer of door and profile cylinder locks.

Around ten years later, Thomas moved to Heiligenhaus to join a renowned manufacturer of mechanical and electronic safe locks. Over more than two decades, he worked in various sales territories and responsibilities within an international market environment.

Today, we are pleased to have Thomas von Polheim as part of our team at INSYS locks. With his many years of sales expertise, he will now support our company and our customers worldwide as International Sales Manager.

In his private life, Thomas is happily married and the father of two grown-up sons. Together with his wife, he shares a passion for travelling, always with a camera in their luggage. Music is also an important part of his life, especially live concerts of all kinds. As he likes to say: life offers many wonderful and exciting moments – you just need to keep your eyes and ears open.
